Migros Culture Percentage awards four Accademia Teatro Dimitri students
Migros Culture Percentage has made awards of some CHF14,400 to five young talents of physical theatre: among the winners chosen by an international jury, four are students at Verscio's Accademia Teatro Dimitri.
The winners of the Physical Theatre Competition, held on 6-7-February in Zurich, were Simone Ganser (Lugano), Patrice Bussy (Yverdon-les-Bains), David Melendy (California) and Saskia Simonet (Fribourg), all from the Verscio Academy. The award for best supporting performance, in the sum of 3,000 Swiss Francs, was won by Maximilian Friedel (Freising, D), also a student of Accademia Teatro Dimitri.
Migros Culture Percentage prizes have been awarded since 1969. To date, it has supported some 3,000 promising young talents, with awards totalling a staggering 41 million Swiss Francs. Migros Culture Percentage "therefore, offers individual and ample support to extraordinary talents, accompanying them in the transition from training to the stage."
