Social Skills and Asperger Syndrome: Let’s work!

The project developed by the ARES Foundation and the Accademia Teatro Dimitri aims to provide social skills to young adults with Asperger’s Syndrome through theatrical means.

The Accademia Teatro Dimitri and the ARES Foundation (autism, research, and the development and creation of curative and educational fields) with the support of the Swiss Solidarity organization, are about to begin the project “Social Skills and Asperger Syndrome: Let’s work!”: the project utilizes theatrical means to help young adults with Asperger Syndrome to develop the social and communication skills necessary for relating to others in a professional context.

The project, designed with a specific learning path for a group of 10-12 people, aims to help participants acquire these new skills, with the objective of allowing them to confront the difficulties that they inevitably encounter in social relationships and, consequently, in work relationships.

The project will be coordinated by ARES pedagogical experts with specializations in Asperger Syndrome and, with regard to theatrical means, by Demis Quadri, SUPSI Professor of Research and Pedagogy in Physical Theater, and Shahaf Michaeli, actress and graduate of the Accademia Teatro Dimitri, as a trainer.

The project will be presented on Friday, October 5th, 2018 at 18:30
