On Friday, October 25th, in the Aula Grande at Accademia Dimitri, the Smeraldo Class invites you to a unique experience of Commedia dell'Arte and Clowning. With two showtimes at 1:15 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., the students will present the result of an intense two-week preparation process.
During this period, they explored the main themes of Commedia dell'Arte: from the attitudes of the masks to their physical and rhythmic responsiveness, and the relationship between masks and the audience. Through a process of physical and verbal improvisation, each student selected a mask to explore in depth, leading to the creation of the original performance script: Pantalone's Illness Pays Off!
In parallel, the students practiced Clowning techniques, experimenting with comedic situations, object improvisations, and slapstick dynamics. The result is a bold ensemble performance, with all the students on stage together, and moments where the audience will be directly involved.
Don't miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in a journey of masks and laughter!
