Santiago Bello

Juggler, actor and object manipulator with a Master's degree in Physical Theatre from the Dimitri Theatre Academy (2017). Driven by curiosity, from the age of 13 Santiago started juggling, riding unicycles and playing with diablo, flower sticks, stilts, hats and basically any object he could find. Moving from one discipline to another and combining them, he then joined several juggling groups in his hometown of Bogotá, Colombia. Together with his friends, he created a street circus show with which they performed at several theatre festivals. Since 2015, he has combined his artistic practices with the development of circus workshops for children and has collaborated with Circo Fortuna, CWBCH and Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Switzerland, Uataueist Project and Kattaikkuttu Gurukulam in India and CFCE and Escuela de Circo del Caribe in Colombia, where he currently works as co-director and juggling teacher. In 2019, he obtained a diploma in Social Circus Training and Instruction from Cirque du Monde by Cirque du Soleil, focused in pedagogy, teaching and development of social skills through circus skills.
