The volume collects a long interview curated by Sara Bocchini, in which the actor, mime and choreographer Richard Weber - co-founder of the Scuola Teatro Dimitri, now Accademia - tells his artistic and human journey.
Sipping a cup of coffee, recalling anecdotes, encounters, conversations with vivacity and lightness, Richard Weber takes the reader by the hand and accompanies him on a journey through time: from his beginnings as a make-up artist in the Prague film studios, the career of mime in the Theatre on the Balustrade; from the meeting with Dimitri, to the decision to create together a theater school; from the first years of existence of the school of Verscio until today, through the stages that marked the development of the pedagogy he created for the teaching of the theatre of movement.
Forty years after the foundation of the Accademia Dimitri, in the words of Richard Weber, the curiosity, dedication and adventurous spirit that have accompanied him throughout his life dedicated to the theatre remain intact. Thus emerges between the lines the portrait of an artist and master of magnificent imagination, whose enthusiasm for teaching and passion for the craft have deeply inspired the development of the Academy.
