Chiamami Italia
Maria Sofia Rizzi

November 4, 1921. The body of an Italian soldier, who died during World War I, is buried at the Vittoriano in Rome, in recognition of all the soldiers who died for the homeland. Through this act, an ordinary man, with an unknown identity, becomes the symbol of national identity. But what exactly defines the borders of this identity? And what does it mean, for a nation, to be born from a funeral?
Inspiration for the character: Unknown Soldier
Performer: Maria Sofia Rizzi
Lighting: Andrea Ferrari and Jacopo Sidari
