Year Adula
Elisa Bruder (*1998) has the strong urge to behave weirdly and differently when things are too boring / bourgeois and non-reflected. Growing up in a small village in the Swiss Lowlands (Aargau), she spent her childhood by the lake, on the snowboard, and in village sport groups. Elisa studied visual arts and mediation at the Zurich University of the Arts, where she received an interdisciplinary education spanning several artistic disciplines. She is trained in a range of dance styles and is a member of company TeKiTeKua (Urban & Contemporary Dance Art). She has worked with Jungkunst Winterthur, Theater Marie, Bühne Aarau, has performed in various theatres (Zürcher Theaterspektakel, Zeughauskultur Brig…), and has collaborated with companies like Continuo Theatre in the Czech Republic. She is a groupie of Dada, the Non-Art Movement that provokes by creating surreal non-art and re-defining and re-thinking the institution. Through Physical Theatre she is able to combine her artistic interests and backgrounds in Performance Art, Dance, and installation.
