Nur Giménez Villarroya

CONCEPT, DIRECTION, PRODUCTION, CHOREOGRAPHY, PERFORMER

(she/he/mutant, 1988) is a Catalan performer and co-producer, with 15 years of international background experience in dance and theatre such as Volkstheater Wien (Vienna, AT), Staatstheater Darmstadt (Darmstadt, DE), Landestheater Linz (Linz, AT), Staatstheater Saarbrücken (Saarbrücken, DE), Kaohsiung Center of Arts (Kaohsiung, TW), National Taichung Theater (Taichung, TW), Daegu Opera House (Daegu, KR), Národni Divadlo (Prague, CZ), Teatro Victoria Eugenia (San Sebastián, ES), Gran Teatre Liceu (Barcelona, ES), etc.

Nur holds a Diploma in Classical Ballet from the Royal Academy of Dance and is trained in various dance styles. She was awarded “Dancer of the Year 19/20” in Austria by the Landestheater Linz and participated in acclaimed productions such as Macbeth from Johann Kresnik - opening of ImPulsTanz Festival Vienna 2019 (AT), Neuzeit from Johannes Wieland (AT), Die Brautschminkerin from Mei Hong Lin (AT, TW), Boids from Moritz Ostruschnjak (DE), etc.

Nur has already co-produced innovative performances such as Die Irrfahrt der MS. Florentine, premiered at Schäxpir Festival, Linz (AT), and Touch me Tiger under Accademia Teatro Dimitri, Verscio (CH), where is currently pursuing a MA in Physical Theater.

Additionally, Nur created together with the collective Kulturverein Spätschicht initiatives such as Bewegungs_Bar in collaboration with the collective Initiative Raumschiff, Interdisciplinary monthly formats in collaboration with Landestheater Linz, Linzest 3000 – a monthly YouTube talk show – and _salon Linz, a space for artistic self-expression. Through these initiatives, Nur provides platforms for experimental art performance and therapeutic art activities.

Nur also holds certifications in Phytotherapy and Kaula Tantra Yoga.
