The stories of people are a mirror of society. We use theatre to create spaces where new perspectives are possible and dialogue is encouraged.
Leonie was born in Bern in 1994. She quickly discovered her passion for theatre, dance, and music. She has always been driven by an activist spirit, with a desire to make our society more supportive and give visibility to the most vulnerable people. She studied law and obtained a Master's degree in 2020. In her professional path, she experienced a certain disillusionment, as her need for socio-critical reflection in daily work was not met as she had hoped.
For this reason, she developed the desire to give voice and stage space to the stories she encountered in her work, as they reveal the fragilities of our society. Her goal is to create theatre that makes human nature visible and pushes us to question the structures in which we live. Moral issues must come to life and engage a wide audience.
In the 2021/22 season, Leonie completed a directing internship in the production Sommernachtstraum, directed by Sabine Auf der Heyde at the Bühnen Bern Theatre. In 2025, she will obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the Accademia Dimitri.
