Chester Wong is a theatre artist from Hong Kong. In 2008, he graduated from the School of Drama at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a major in Acting. He has worked as a full-time actor for the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre and Atelier Theatre Hong Kong. He is currently completing the Master of Arts in Theatre at the Accademia Dimitri (Switzerland).
Chester's recent works include: ‘The Isle’ at Hong Kong Repertory Theatre (Composer); ‘Romantic Cabaret of the City’ at the Hong Kong Arts Festival (Director); ‘First Steps’ at the Hong Kong Arts Festival (Dancer); ‘Report ii: the illegal i’ at the Hong Kong New Vision Festival (Co-writer & performer); ‘The Void’ at Hong Kong Repertory Theatre (Co-writer & director, performer); ‘The Crowd’ at the Hong Kong Arts Festival X Shanghai Dramatic Art Center (Composer & Pianist).
He was awarded Best Original Music at the 32nd and 22nd Hong Kong Drama Awards for the ‘The Isle’ (Hong Kong Repertory Theatre) and ‘Le Grand Cahier’ (The Nonsense Makers), respectively. Also at the Hong Kong Drama Awards, he received nominations for Best Original Music (SEVEN) and Best Support Male Actor (A Flea in Her Ear), as well as a nomination for Best Actor at the 3rd Hong Kong Theatre Libre.
